Vokera boiler: how to turn the heating on

Vokera Vision

The Vision has a mode selector knob. Vokèra's user guide labels the positions summer (no heating, just hot water), winter (heating and hot water) and standby. If it's on summer, the heating won't come on.

1. Make sure the gas and electricity supplies to the boiler are on, as Vokèra's instructions say.
2. Turn the mode selector to winter: heating and hot water.
3. On the clock, choose Auto (heating on during your timed periods) or Man on (on all the time). Man off means no heating.
4. Turn the heating temperature selector clockwise to raise it. Vokèra gives a range of 40°C to 80°C.

Vokera Compact A

The Compact A also has a mode selector switch, with positions for off/standby, hot water only, and heating and hot water.

1. Make sure the gas and electricity supplies are on.
2. Turn the mode selector to heating and hot water. Vokèra says the boiler then responds when the time clock, programmer or a thermostat asks for heat.
3. Check the time clock is on AUTO with an on period set, or on ON.
4. Turn the heating temperature selector clockwise to raise it, between 40°C and 80°C.

Heating still not coming on?

1. Check your timer or programmer is in an on period and your room thermostat is set above the room temperature.
2. Check the pressure gauge. Our pressure checker shows Vokera's recommended range and what to do if it's low.
